Top 3 Wellness Tips For Women To Feel Happy And Healthy

5 Min Read

Daily, the female body goes through a lot, what with hormonal shifts depending on what time of the month it is, pregnancy and childbirth, and eventually menopausal changes. The fact that we all lead such busy and demanding lives these days only makes it harder to keep healthy every day.

It is harder but it is not impossible. It all comes down to making the right choices. If you are concerned that you may not be making the right choices regarding your health, we have 3 great wellness tips that if you are not already following will make an almost instant difference to how you look and feel.

Get Your Day Started with A Cup of Fresh Lemon Juice and Probiotics

At Fit Healthy Momma we have discovered that the way you start the day can have a great impact on how the rest of the day goes. Lemon juice, particularly if it is freshly squeezed or you allow a quarter wedge to infuse with some lukewarm water, is an amazing way to start every day.

Lemon juice can prevent constipation, gives your body a nice boost of some crucial phytochemicals and nutrients, and is also believed to make you alert and stimulate cognitive function

What about the probiotics? Well, a huge part of ensuring you feel your best involves making sure your immune system and digestive system are healthy. Ideally, take probiotics with some water at the start of the day before you’ve eaten anything.

Consider Eliminating or Limiting Sugar in Your Diet

There are times when you feel you need that sugar hit to get you over a hurdle or energy slump. It may not be exactly what you want to hear, but trust us, a diet that contains a lot of sugar is not a good one.

We are not just talking about the obvious side effects like weight gain, it can also increase your blood pressure, blood sugar, and unhealthy cholesterol levels.

Even if you can’t face completely eliminating it from your diet, the less sugar you have, the better you will feel. You should consider trialing a full sugar detox for a month, so you can see just how much of a difference it can make.

Drink Plenty of Water

You are not alone if you just made an audible groan when you saw that hydration was the name of the game for our third tip. We get it. People, from health experts to doctors, your parents, and just about anyone who thinks they are knowledgeable will tell you that you need to keep your body hydrated.

Although we understand the frustration that comes from hearing the same nagged comments, again and again, it doesn’t stop them from being right.

Drinking adequate volumes of water, that is around two liters or eight glasses a day of the crystal clear stuff, has been shown to have positive effects on your energy and mood levels, without even going into too much detail about how it helps keeps your body clean and flushes out toxins.

Do you find that you start the day with good intentions, but because of the various distractions or your busy working life, you never reach your target water intake? Get yourself a bottle and fill it up before you start work or whatever you have planned for the day and, this is the important part, keep it with you at all times – somewhere nice and visible.

If you are in the office, make sure it’s front and center beside your keyboard and phone. If you are in the car, put it in the drink’s holder.

Don’t let it out of your sight.
