Today marks the official launch of HealthWorksCollective, our tenth community at Social Media Today. We’re proud to take on another big, and globally significant business conversation: How to deliver quality healthcare to as many people on the planet as possible.

HealthWorksCollective brings together many of the world’s leading healthcare bloggers. Their expertise ranges from policy to technology to financing to global development. We continue to recruit the best minds in healthcare, with the goal of nurturing a broad discussion that in turn will generate the wisdom we all need to make informed changes.

Since everything we do is based on our bloggers, we are proud to announce some particularly impressive founding members of HealthWorksCollective. They include a former CEO of a major university medical system, a leading software analyst, a renowned authority on the nexus between healthcare and free markets, and an expert in international development.   A full list of our current bloggers can be found at the end of this post.

Here are some of the questions that we’re already covering on the site: What role should government regulation play in supporting or hindering innovative care? How can new diagnostic technology make healthcare more effective, and efficient? How are predictive analytics being used to augment research and what are the relevant privacy concerns?  How can we efficiently serve remote and under-developed populations? What role can social media play in galvanizing public attention and enabling smart policy choices?

We invite our members across all our sites to join this important conversation.  Look to this community for upcoming virtual events and live conversations with industry leaders and thinkers, and for synthesized content that can put our 24/7 attention into perspective.
