A lot more children are doing homeschooling than ever before. Around 65% of households have reported that children are using remote learning.

Unfortunately, while remote learning is important for protecting children and their families from COVID-19, there are some other health risks too. Children that use remote learning might not be in the right posture, which can put too much pressure on their spine and cause back issues. Although they are young, they can still experience some health issues as a result.

The good news is that there are some ways to deal with this issue. One way is to invest in a cabin bed with a desk that can help them work in a better posture. This could help prevent them from having chronic back pain. There are some other great benefits as well.

Other Great Benefits of Using a Cabin Bed with a Desk

In lockdown, you might think that things could become a little easier for families with children. After all, you don’t need to do the school run twice a day any more or worry about uniforms. But often, this is far from the case, as home-schooling poses a whole new set of challenges. In reality, we often need all the help we can get when it comes to getting a child into the routine of learning from home. If you are looking at a few hacks for home-schooling, there is a furniture set which can be a complete game-changer. That is the cabin bed with desk. It can help kids working from home the same way that the right furniture can prevent injuries in the workplace.

And in this article, we are going to tell you all the reasons why.

Better posture

One of the biggest benefits of reasons to consider using a cabin bed with a desk. One of the most compelling is that it helps improve your child’s posture. This will help them avoid back problems down the road.

Cut down the mileage

It might sound simple – and it is; by cutting down the distance your child has to cover from their bed to their desk, you can make home-schooling a whole lot easier. All it takes is a quick shower, some breakfast, and they can be ready to work; subject to your internet connection! And on those days when they almost oversleep, your little ones can be at their desk in a matter of seconds ensuring they don’t miss anything.

Make it easier to study

If you want your child to devote their time to studying, it helps to make it as easy as possible for them. Cabin beds with desks give their ‘home learning centre’ pride of place. It can put homework and study at the forefront of their mind. There will be no more battling for space at the kitchen table or in your living room – kids cabin beds with desks effectively give them a home study which can act as the ideal education environment.

Avoid distractions

If you have multiple children or your whole family is based from home right now, you may understand exactly how hard it is to concentrate sometimes. If you can hardly ‘hear yourself think’, imagine how your child feels when they are getting to grips with mathematical equations or attempting some creative writing. A cabin bed with desk can be the solution, giving them a location to work in which benefits from a much lower noise level and fewer distractions. Give your child the right environment for learning.

Storage and space

Not only are cabin beds with desks robust and durable, but they can also be excellent space savers. Because the bed space itself is overhead, you can pack a lot of functionality and items below – not just a desk, but a wardrobe and chest of drawers are also feasible. As children grow they need more and more room, meaning space is at a premium. If your child has a small to moderate room, a cabin bed can be an amazingly practical solution, allowing you to maximise the potential of the space. The better you can do this, the more chance you have of making your child’s room a place they want to be in and learn in.

Sleep sorted

Have we neglected to mention sleep? Let’s put that right. Because obviously, sleep has to be a big priority from a bed. And a good night’s sleep is certainly conducive to a productive day in class. Before you underestimate the importance of a good night’s sleep, remember that the American Academy of Pediatrics estimates that between 25% and 50% of children have sleep issues.

The best cabin beds possess a frame which is designed to offer the right level of support for the mattress, resulting in a comfortable place for your child to sleep and accommodating their growing body weight. Being a break from the standard ground-based bed – they can also represent a more fun place to sleep for your child.

So there you have it – some reasons why cabin beds with desks can help to get your homeschooling on track. Is it time you made the switch to elevated sleeping arrangements?
