With new restaurants popping up on every corner, it can be very easy to eat out more frequently. Luckily, you can Imagefind meal options wherever you are to fit into a healthy lifestyle! Many Americans struggle with portion size and knowing what is the best option. We want to eat food that tastes great but doesn’t add to your waistline. So where does that leave us?

With new restaurants popping up on every corner, it can be very easy to eat out more frequently. Luckily, you can Imagefind meal options wherever you are to fit into a healthy lifestyle! Many Americans struggle with portion size and knowing what is the best option. We want to eat food that tastes great but doesn’t add to your waistline. So where does that leave us?

In a world of creamy dressings and over-sized serving dishes we can succeed! Try some of these tips from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to eat healthy on the go!

• Think ahead and plan where you will eat. Look at the menu and pick a healthier option before you get there.
• Look for items on the menu that note “Low Fat or Low Sodium”. Many of these items will have fewer calories and will be better for your heart.
• Don’t be shy! Make a special request. Do not be afraid to ask for items without sauce or on the side. Veggies can be prepared without oil and butter.
• Share with friends! Craving that decadent chocolate brownie sundae? Ask for multiple forks or spoons to share with the table.
