From fax machines to printers, wired internet connections to WI-FI and bulky computers to compact sized mobile devices – The world is evolving. However, this progress isn’t only limited to technology.

I’m pretty sure everyone reading this is aware of urinalysis. You might’ve been through one or perhaps even saw it happen in a movie or show. For those of you who don’t know already, it’s used to analyze the urine samples of people to evaluate whether they have been on drugs recently or not.

This test for drug consumption, too, has evolved and has been replaced by Saliva drug test – which as the name suggest, contains saliva instead of urine. It’s better in terms of accuracy, it is quicker, less disgusting and it can tell one if drugs were used recently, unlike urinalysis which requires the drug to be metabolized in order to be detected by the test meaning that the process can take a while.

This is undoubtedly, a great feat for the world of medicine and also good news for corporations and police as they can evaluate whether someone has been doing drugs or is clean.

However, this is also, undoubtedly, bad news for drug users. If someone is proved as a drug-user, they can lose great opportunities like positions on the sports team and can even get fired from their job for their drug use.

However, as Shakespeare once said “all that glitters is not gold”. The Saliva drug test has some loopholes that allows someone to pass it.

One of them, which has garnered a lot of attention, is done by using Listerine and on account of many experiences, it actually works. I know, it sounds improbable but even studies go on to show that one can pass a drug test with Listerine Strips, and it works.

Moreover, it has simple and affordable components and is over-all, an inexpensive method which has a high success rate so it’s worth a try.

How to pass a swab test with Listerine strips?

Anyways, without further-a-do, let’s start with the steps you need to do in order to bypass the saliva drug test with the use of Listerine.

1:- You need to abstain from drug use for a minimum of 48 hours

The drug test is designed in a way that allows it to detect whether someone did drugs recently. So, there’s no need for an explanation behind the fact that if you abstain from drug use for a minimum of 48 hours from the test, the chances of it revealing your antics takes a fall.

It is recommended that you abstain for more than 48 hours. Say about 3 or 4 days is more than enough but 48 hours is the bare minimum.

2:- Drink and eat to make your mouth moist

All of us have studied concentrated and diluted in our chemistry classes I believe. For those of you who haven’t, the two terms refer to the proportionality of a solute to its solvent. This may sound complex hence, let me provide you with an example in Layman’s terms:

Let’s suppose, you took a single hit from a blunt. Just from that one quickie, you inhaled millions of activated molecules of THC. From these THC molecules, some resonate within your mouth and eventually blend with your saliva to form a concentrated solution of saliva filled with THC molecules.

So, to lessen the concentration of the THC in your saliva, it is best if you consume more food and drink than average. Doing so increases the variety of different molecules in your saliva. The THC in your saliva can go from being a big fish in a small pond to a small fish in a big pond

An even better way of doing this would be by consuming saliva stimulating items. These can include sour candies, lemonade and apples. You should consume all this while also avoiding popcorn and carbonated drinks as they can dry your mouth up – something you wouldn’t want before a saliva swab test.

3:- Dental hygiene is the key

Similar to step number one, I think this one is pretty self-explanatory too. In short: the cleaner your mouth is from the inside, the better chance you have of ultimately passing the test.

However, the difference between the typical dental hygiene you practice and the dental hygiene you practice days due from a saliva swab test is poles-apart.

Unlike the former, you have to brush your teeth more than twice a day. People who have passed the test suggest to brush your teeth at least 4 times a day.

Not only this, but you also need to brush more than the time recommended by dentists for brushing, which is 2 minutes. You need to at-least brush for 4 minutes for the best results.

Another good tip would be to use a dental floss so that you can reach the spots that the bristles of a toothbrush can’t – such as the tight gaps between your teeth.

Remember – The goal is to remove as much THC as you can from your mouth so in this case:
The more the merrier.

4:- Doomsday

Finally, when the test day arrives, you have to go all out crazy – Do steps 2 and 3 like crazy.

Eat and drink as much saliva stimulating items as you can so that the THC from your saliva is as hard to find as a grain of salt in a bag of flour.

Similarly, go to the bathroom to brush your teeth but unlike previously stated, this time brush hardcore. Increase the time from 4 minutes to 15-20 minutes. Make sure you finish at least a tube of toothpaste for best results.

While you’re at it, the most important component of passing the test comes to use too – Listerine.

The experts suggest that you take a mouthful of Listerine at least 4 times, gargle it and hold it for around a minute before splashing it down into the sink.

Emphasis on the phrase ‘at least’ though.

The hardcore way to do this would be by taking Listerine in your mouth, keeping it in there for a minute, exuding it out from your mouth, waiting for a minute and then repeating the cycle.

For the best results, do it so many times that if people start taking a shot for every time you use Listerine, they would pass out from excessive drinking within half an hour.

If you want to take it a step further, swallow the Listerine (Not recommended).

I know what you’re going to say. Yes, holding Listerine in your mouth for even 30 seconds is comparable to fire ants being left in your mouth but remember this:

Pain is temporary but regret is permanent.

The pain equivalent to 100 fire ants in your mouth will pay off in the long run and save you from missing an opportunity because of your drug use.

1 hour before the test

When your saliva swap test is one hour due, you have to act quick. You need to get your hands on a pack of Listerine strips. If you don’t have them on you, then you can easily find them at your local pharmacy for an inexpensive sum of money.

Once you have them, you need to place and rub 2 Listerine strips inside each of your cheeks, on top of your tongue, beneath your tongue.

The purpose of doing so is to make sure that the molecules which weren’t targeted by the brushing and flossing are removed.

Once the strips dissolve, fill your mouth with water, gargle and then swish it out into the sink and repeat one more time.

As time passes by and there is not a lot of time due from the test – say about 30 minutes. You need to repeat the Listerine strips process again.

Once you’re done with all the steps, there is very little chance of testing positive.

If you’re anything like me – the sound of even a little chance would give you crippling anxiety.

In order to deal with that, pour some Listerine in your mouth, gargle and finally rinse with water. With this, the prospect of testing positive goes down and drops from a little to zero percent!

If you have extreme anxiety then I would recommend that you carry along small salty snacks like Warheads or Skittles as they stimulate salivary glands, at least in my experience. Just thinking about their taste makes my glands produce an overwhelming amount of saliva.

If you’ve abstained from drug use for at least 48 hours and also completed all the steps mentioned above, then you would have nothing to worry about.

Flip a bird to that anxiety you’re having and get inside the lab technician’s office like a boss.

If you have a Saliva Swap Test anytime soon, I wish you all the best and hope that you get a negative result or a false-positive.
