Isn’t She Cute?

Autom is a weight-loss robot coach who talks to you and helps you eat healthy and exercise regularly to lose weight and keep it off.

Autom has a conversation with you every day and learns more about you as you converse.  She adapts her conversation to your habits and lifestyle.  No manuals to read and no menus or technology for you to master, Autom is personable and effective.

Autom knows the calorie content of 75,000 food items and keeps track of what you eat so you don’t have to.

Autom will help you stick to any diet you choose.  And she will help you with an exercise program as well.  She is truly a personal coach – and she is extremely reliable as well!

Usually, the problem with dieting is motivation and support.  Autom provides that, and more.  After a few conversations, she starts adapting and tailoring her advice to you.  She will stick with you and help you do what you need to do to lose weight and adapt a healthier lifestyle.

Autom can be used by multiple people in a household and will form relationships with each one.  She speaks aloud and makes eye contact and learns more about each person as she goes along.  The touchscreen is easy to use and effective.

As long as she has an internet connection, she’ll back up everything you tell her each day.  None of your history is lost.  She is updated often and new features are planned for the near future.

And her stats?  She is about 15 inches tall and weighs 5 lbs.Image

Autom is currently only available in the US.  She can be pre-ordered through Intuitive Automata and costs $199 and $19.99 a month for a subscription (minimum 12 months) which includes automatic updates to her database.  There is a limited supply and Intuitive Automata will start shipping orders in early 2013.  Cory Kidd, Founder and CEO of Intuitive Automata would not release pre-sales numbers but did tell me that they will likely run out of their first production run of 1,000 before they start shipping.
