Which Health Apps Are You Downloading?

Apple and Google’s app stores have millions of apps for all types of purposes. From games to social networks to news, there’s an app out there for all tastes and purposes. When it comes to health-related apps, what are people these days downloading? healthcare apps

Well, according to a recent Pew Internet Report, exercise, fitness and heart-rate monitoring apps are the ones most downloaded by users. More than one-third of people surveyed said they have some type fitness/exercise app on their phone. Diet and food apps came in second, with 31 percent of people surveyed saying they use their mobile devices to count calories. These numbers will most likely increase as we get closer to the New Year when people make health-related resolutions.

The mobile health revolution is just beginning! Today 85 percent of U.S. adults own a cell phone, and half of those are smartphones where apps are used. It’s one of the top ways people find health-related information.
