There can be no denying that medicine and health are big businesses. The median gross profit margin in the pharmaceutical industry is 75.6%. With profits that reach Neptune and back, pharmaceuticals, consultancies, and technology companies constantly see healthy profits. Although some benefits are derived from the three industries many feel there is a huge part of the health puzzle that is missing.

Rather than measuring blood pressure and assessing other metrics, many are turning to Avalon’s ayahuasca retreat in Europe and similar establishments to take charge of their own health.

Let’s look at why.

Often it’s About the Spiritual

There is no doubt you can be unlucky and be born with various physical health defects. Often medical intervention is what’s needed in this instance to save your life. However, sometimes there are other healthy living tips that make a big difference.

There are other medical issues that occur due to instances that have happened in your life that can’t be measured by an app or medical instrument. This can result in major medical issues and neglect is often the root cause of them.

Often trauma and addiction can wreak havoc on our health, and breaking bad habits and getting to the root cause of an issue is the only way to address the health and social problems caused.

Whereas medical intervention can treat the here and now it falls to coming up with a long-term cure. Here, a spiritual retreat can come to the rescue providing genuine insights and empowerment.

Removing Stress

According to ‘the science’ stress is a major cause of early deaths. It places the body under duress which can in some instances cause all kinds of issues and problems and sadly, death.

Fear is another big driver of stress and fear has seemingly infected every aspect of our lives. Whether it be mass extinction or deadly disease messaging from politicians and the media seems to be designed to keep you afraid.

Health retreats are very good at helping you declutter your mind and as such, remove stress. This may sound a little bit out there, but less stress means a healthier life and well being. It may even save your life.

Responsibility for Your Own Health

One alarming problem over the last two years has been that your own health was taken out of your hands, at least that seemed to be the gameplan of health authorities throughout the world. By taking responsibility for your own health you live a better lifestyle naturally, and you take the time to make informed decisions without the pressures of the media putting out confusing and often inaccurate messaging.

If you don’t take responsibility for your own health and make genuinely informed decisions, then you’ll be at the mercy of those that want to exploit you both financially and spiritually.

Discovering You

Discovering who you are is a massive step in both spiritual and medical health. If you can strip away the distractions and discover the real you great things happen. You gain insights and understanding into your personal circumstances which help to heal spiritual wounds and to forgive yourself for any damage you may have caused others.

Although medical science has achieved great things it is not the answer to everything health related. You may want to investigate a retreat to take charge of your own health.
