The statistics on the page say that the number of tattoo removals is expected t grow to over 60,000. 
Westford-based Cynosure Inc. said today is has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market a new laser system for removing tattoos and certain lesions.
The company said it expects to initially sell the PicoSure system through its U.S. direct sales force to aesthetic dermatologists and plastic surgeons starting early next year.
