We have talked about some of the ways that people can try to address mental health issues. One of the most important is going to therapy. After all, therapy saves lives.

However, there are other professionals that can help people deal with their mental health issues. You may be surprised to hear that beauty professionals are among them.

Beauty Professionals Can Help Address Mental Health Problems

Women (and not only) love feeling beautiful. Therefore, their appearance plays an important role in their mental health. Intern Susannah Woodbury, Emma Parkhurst an assistant professor at Utah State University discussed the role of appearance in mental health in this blog post. Indeed, most of this comes from inside, and the only thing you need is some confidence, but don’t you feel more powerful after getting your hair and nails done? A lot of ladies do, and this is totally fine.

This made the beauty industry even more popular, and you can see beauty salons on every corner. Perhaps at some point, you have even considered a career in this industry because it looks very fun, and you will help people feel better. You may even play a key role in helping them with their mental health.

But which are the highest-paid jobs in the beauty sector? We are here to tell you.

Beauty esthetician

You might have seen it as a beauty therapist as well, and this is probably the best-paid job in the beauty industry. And, it is also very rewarding because you can help your clients look and feel better overall.

You are supporting people in their way of feeling the best in their skin by offering them procedures and consulting them on the perfect way to achieve what they want. An editor from Purewow mentioned that this can do a lot to help people feel better, since makeup helped improve her own mental health. This job is also very challenging because you must ensure you offer the right treatment and product to each client.

Nail technician

Have you noticed how confident a woman feels when she just got her nails done? The color of your nails can very often also affect your overall mood and make you feel like you can take over the week. Therefore, it stands to reason that a nail technician can help with your mental health as well. This is why being a nail technician is a very important job. After all, breaking a nail can lead to a mini heart attack, so you should trust the person doing your manicure with your life. They will help reduce your stress by doing the job right, which is especially important if you have an anxiety disorder.

Being a nail technician is a very well-paid job, and you will never suffer from a shortage of clients if you are good at your job. And to be really good, you should continually improve with the help of some free online nail technician courses. Those will keep you on top of the new trends and technologies.

Makeup artist

This profession has artists in it is title rightfully. Knowing how to emphasize the good features of someone and, in the same way, mask some imperfections is not an easy job. This is also a job that can offer you many career opportunities since there are so many types of makeup artists. The best part is that you can improve people’s mental health by helping them feel better about themselves.

You might decide to specialize in wedding makeup or work in a TV studio and make sure everyone looks perfect on camera. There are makeup artists that can just create miracles, and they most definitely deserve to be in the top 2 of the best-paid jobs in the beauty industry.

Personal stylist

How we dress and what accessories we use speaks a lot about us. But it is impossible for everyone to have impeccable taste and know all the fashion trends. Luckily there are personal stylists. This job can be very demanding since you need to find a way for each person’s personality to shine through the clothes they wear.

There is so much to learn about material and color pallets, but this profession can also be very fun if you select your clients in a way that you work with people and styles you like.

Photographer

After making ourselves pretty, we always love to take some photos because we just feel unstoppable. Or when there is a specific event we want to remember, we will also want some pictures taken. On such occasions, we will look for a professional to help us, which is why photographers are very searched for and well paid.

In recent years, we can see many people go and have a photo session just for fun. Depending on your skills and the photography area you are providing your services, you can most definitely make good money.

Hair Stylist

And last but not least, we will mention hairstylists. We have probably all had crazy ideas of cutting our hair or doing experiments with its color. And let’s be honest, we probably all failed. Thankfully, hairdressers come to the rescue and can fix even the biggest disaster.

There are some that we should just call magicians because of their skills. In those cases, they are worth every penny. Whenever we need some pampering, the hair salon is the best place to go, and we will leave energized and feeling beautiful.

Beauty Jobs Can Help People Feel Better About Themselves

Beauty jobs serve a number of important functions. They are not just superficial. They can also help people with their mental health. If you want to make people feel better about themselves, then finding a career with one of these beauty jobs can help.
