For a hospital or healthcare facility, the Services page is one of the most critical elements of a website. It’s here that you can paint a picture to your audience of what you do. In other words, it’s the perfect place for storytelling.

But for many companies – including those in healthcare – these pages have been collecting dust since they were first written. Usually, they haven’t been updated in years; they may not truly and accurately explain what your facility does anymore.

The primary purpose of your site’s Services page is to provide information about what your facility offers, including medical services, surgical services and educational services. This general information can be very dry and unexciting for the reader.

It doesn’t have to be, though. There are ways to stand out and make your facility’s services appear more exciting and interesting.

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Give a recent case study with each service you list on the website. This can reassure potential patients that you are the best people to care for them.
  • Use video. Adding visuals to the page can make your facility seem more real to visitors. Try not to use actors and actresses if possible, though. People can see through that right away and know the videos aren’t authentic.
  • Be real and genuine. Everyone knows a 100 percent success rate is impossible. Be truthful and honest about your facility’s figures. This way, potential clients don’t have unrealistic expectations.

With new advancements in medicine coming out each and every day, it is always good to update your Services page regularly. The last thing you want is to lose a potential patient because you are marketing old techniques and procedures.
