Serotonin

Serotonin is a chemical produced by the body that is categorized as a neurotransmitter. Serotonin plays a huge role in cell communication, food digestion, and mood regulation. This neurotransmitter can be found in the intestines, blood platelets, and immune system cells, but serotonin is mainly found in the brain. Low levels of serotonin are associated with changes in mood, as well as depression and anxiety.

While medications such as antidepressants and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) block the brain from reabsorbing serotonin, which allows more serotonin to be available, there are also natural remedies available that contribute to raising levels of serotonin.

GABA

Gamma-aminobutyric acid, or GABA, is another neurotransmitter whose function is to inhibit neuron activity in the brain as well as regulate communication through brain cells. Researchers believe that one of the main purposes of GABA is to control fear or anxiety that is felt when the neurons are overstimulated and overexcited. For people with high levels of stress and anxiety, a deficiency of GABA receptors may be to blame.

Many pharmaceutical medications prescribed for anxiety, such as benzodiazepines, tend to bind to the receptors and help reduce neural activity, but they are not the only type of treatment that can do this.

Maintaining Healthy Levels of GABA and Serotonin

Serotonin and GABA are key neurotransmitters that regulate your mood and affect your anxiety levels. By promoting and maintaining healthy levels of serotonin and GABA, you are giving yourself the highest chance of recovery and of feeling better again. While there are many prescriptions that can contribute to this maintenance, research has shown that there are also natural alternatives that share some of the same properties, without all of the negative side effects.

Natural remedies, such as RediCalm, offer a safe option for people who suffer with anxiety disorders. By combining natural ingredients that have been used in holistic medicines for thousands of years, these remedies can help boost serotonin levels, assist GABA in effectively binding to receptors, reduce anxiety and stress levels, and provide more regulation and consistency within the brain and body.

Do Natural Remedies Really Reduce Anxiety?

While natural medicines claim that they reduce anxiety levels and promote an overall healthier way of life, do they really work? Can you put your mental health on the line to see? Don’t be fooled; there are many products out there that claim to be able to reduce anxiety but they don’t have any evidence to back their claims up. Natural remedies such as RediCalm have the clinical research and the patient results to prove their effectiveness, once again showing that there are natural and safe ways to alleviate your anxiety.
