Telemedicine Reimbursement Enters the 2016 Presidential Campaign

1 Mins read

At last, a presidential candidate has said something interesting about healthcare that doesn’t involve repealing Obamacare or expanding Medicare to a single payer system. In a recent speech, Hillary Clinton advocated for expanding Medicare reimbursement for telemedicine services and for resolving the interstate licensing issue that has held back telemedicine. Read about it in MedCity News and Politico.

Companies in the telemedicine market have been wrestling with reimbursement issues for a while. Addressing this challenge is key to its continued growth. Hopefully, we will hear more about this issue from other candidates as the election draws closer and healthcare continues to change.
