If you ever get involved in any accident such as a car accident, slip and fall, you’d want to file a personal injury claim. But you wonder whether or not your case is really worth. So, you will start imagining of the damages, and try to figure out how the injuries have cost you and then try to find out whether the accused should be punished or not. In case you didn’t know, money damages are awarded to the plaintiff by the defendant who caused the plaintiff’s injury. In most cases, the court will always order your compensation, but you can as well agree with the defendant before proceeding to court. Though, this rarely happens because each party want to battle it out in court. Below are five types of injuries you are entitled to seek compensation for.

1) Medical Treatment2) Pain and Suffering3) Loss of Consortium4) Permanent Disability5) Death BenefitsFinal Thoughts

1) Medical Treatment

In most cases, a personal injury damage award will include medical costs if awarded by the court. The medical costs that will be paid to you will only be associated with the accident; the expenses you have incurred as a result of the treatment. In addition, you will also be compensated for the costs you’ll incur in future as a result of the accident. So, if you’re a victim, file a personal injury case and get your justice today. 2) Pain and Suffering

If you have been subjected to pain and suffering as a result of an accident, you should move quick and seek justice in the courts of law. For instance, the accident may have caused miscarriage. That means, you will not have your baby. As a mother, you’ll feel the pain of carrying your child for eight or so months only to miscarry when you are about to deliver. It hurts. In such a case, you can seek justice if by any chance you feel the defendant was negligent in a way and his or her negligence caused your pain.

3) Loss of Consortium

Loss of consortium is a situation where the damage impact or affect the relationship between you and your spouse; maybe you lose your companion, or failure to maintain a sexual relationship. In some countries, impact on the relationship between a parent and a child could also be considered. In some instances, the consortium damages may not be awarded to the injured person, but to the family, but it’s still worth, right?

4) Permanent Disability

“Disabilities are rated from 100% to 1% depending on the seriousness. For example, a 100% would be the loss of both your hands or the loss of your sight. The loss of your small toe is a 1% disability.” A permanent disability is illness that you won’t ever recover from; you’ll have it for the rest of your life and you have no control over it. In most cases, if your is more than thirty percent, you’ll be compensated monthly. If it’s 100 percent, you will get compensated 75 percent of your wages.

5) Death Benefits

You may have lost your sole breadwinner of the family; maybe your spouse or one of your sons or daughters. In this case, you need to find a way in which you can claim a personal injury claim. Normally, the amount of your compensation will depend on your relationship with your loved one. Sadly, the amount you’ll always receive won’t be equal to what your spouse was earning.

Final Thoughts

If you experience any of these, please don’t suffer in silence. Instead, file a personal injury claim and get your justice.
