When it comes to your fitness goals, consistency is the key to its success. Life goes on, we all have duties to perform, and yet taking some time out of your schedule during holidays for exercise is a smart thing to do.

It does not take much time for your body to lose endurance, strength, and physical stamina when you are enjoying during holidays without any exercise. You need to decide how much time you can manage to do some freehand exercise, cycling, jogging, running, walking, or sweating out at the gym. No clue? Here are five tips to help you exercise regularly during holidays:

  1. Plan in advance

When you are visiting a gym, schedule your workout session a little in advance, so that it’s included in your calendar for that particular week. If you are staying with your family, exercise together in a couple of early morning sessions. It will help you stay active and revitalized for the rest of the day. You will also get back from the gym or health club early, take a shower, breakfast, and then focus on your domestic chores.

Take a couple of hours on holidays or weekends to toss-up meals as well as healthy snacks for the next week to help yourself and your family stay on track with health and fitness goals. When you know what you will eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there is no need to buy convenience foods such as instant noodles and soups, especially when you are hard-pressed for time.

  1. Group exercise

When you are with your family or with your friends, they too might join you to sweat out at the gym or do jogging in a group. If your family or group of friends, work out together, it helps in developing a great sense of bonding. Moreover, you will feel motivated to exercise daily and on time during the holidays. You can chalk out a workout routine, walk, run, play football in your backyard, or just do freehand exercise in a group.

  1. Avoid including too many exercises

During the holiday season, you have too many things to do. Shopping, buying gifts and taking out your family for an outing, and things. It means time is premium around this time. Try a few simple exercises instead of including too many exercises. Taking the stairs, parking your car farther from your house, freehand exercising, standing for 10-15 minutes instead of being a couch potato all the time, or carrying a bag of carrots instead of a bag of chips are some of the things you can try.

  1. Exercise religiously

When you plan to work out during the holidays stick to it. You will need at least an hour to get proper exercise. Try 10-pushups, 15 bodyweight squats, and 20 climbing exercises to help you lose calories and make your heart pump.
