Acne and pimples are the most notorious unwanted guests that can pop up when they are the last thing you want to have. Besides being painful, they can make you look and feel unpleasant and uncomfortable. Although they are a tough nut to crack, but do you know that from the acne on your face to that pimple inside your ear, all these issues have common causes that can be easily addressed. Here are some easy tips that will help you get rid of acne and pimples easily.

Rule Out Medical Reasons

If acne is your regular guest, the first thing you need to do is to see your physicians and get tested for any underlying medical conditions. Pimples and acne can be attributed to multiple reasons, and all of them do not necessarily require medical attention. However, some medical conditions such as Polycystic Ovaries (PCOs) or hormonal imbalances can also be a key culprit, therefore it is important that you rule out medical factors before you jump on the skincare bandwagon. Your physician will prescribe you the necessary tests and medications in case a medical reason is detected.

Watch What You Eat

Once you have had your medical issues sorted and you are positive that it is your skin acting up and not any medical issues, it is time to fix your habits. When it comes to non-medicinal reasons, oil accumulation is one of the key reasons that trigger acne and pimples. People who eat food that is fatty or have too much oil are at a greater risk of acne breakouts. Likewise, people who have jumped the notorious Keto bandwagon for weight loss should also not be surprised to see those bumps popping on their face every now and then. The key to avoid acne is to cut down on your fat intake and increase proteins. Add more white meat and fresh vegetables to your diet. Additionally, consider incorporating Nutrafol Skin Acne Supplement into your routine to support clearer skin from within.

Drink Plenty of Water

Your skin cells are dominated by over 70% of water content. When your body lacks water intake, your skin is the first thing to show the symptoms of this deficiency by all sorts of skin conditions popping up. Good water intake is extremely crucial to keep your skin healthy, glowing, and pigmented and helps keeping acne and pimples at bay.

Cleanse Your Face

Your facial skin is exposed to all sorts of bacteria and pollutants that settle into your skin, eventually causing acne issues. A simple way to tackle this is to have a cleansing routine. Wash your face at least thrice a day with a facial wash that suits your skin. Vitamin C face washes are great for regular use. Top it up with an additional weekly deep cleansing routine with a mask and exfoliation to remove all dead skin and clean the pores. You can make a homemade mask that suits your skin or get commercial masks such as bentonite clay or activated charcoal masks.

Skin Care Regime

It is not only important to have a daily skin care protocol, but it is also important to educate yourself about using the right products. What works for one skin might not work for another. Whenever you pick a skin care product, make sure you read the ingredients and check the skin type it is meant for. It is recommended to do a patch test first before using it regularly.
