In China, a child with congenital heart disease is born every three minutes. Since operations on small babies are particularly difficult, Professor Hu Shengshou from Fu Wai Hospital in Bejing has a new approach: He combines traditional cardiovascular surgery and interventional therapeutics in one procedure. While this approach mostly improves infant treatment, all patients benefit from this hybrid approach. Watch the film to find out  more on the hybrid approach to treat congenital heart disease:
