Earlier this week I was named as one of 10 HIT bloggers to follow on Twitter by Healthcare IT News and it has generated quite a bit of traffic to my blog, a few subscribers and new Twitter followers.  I think it even helped generate my nomination to #HIT100 by one of my RHIO and blogger friends in the Great State of Louisiana, @HITManZac.

I really appreciate the recognition and vote of confidence!  But, I’m in great company and also want to recognize those who join me on the list.  Some are old blogger friends from way back… in 2005.  I’ve included a date next to a few of these old virtual friends and others I know from hanging around the blogosphere.

Charles Webster, MD @EHRworkflow (2012 at HIMSS with the hat cam)

David Harlow, @healthblawg  (Humm, perhaps 2009ish when writing my book on social media. We are now both on the Healthworks Collective Advisory Board.)

John Lynn, @techguy (2005, and we finally met in person at HIMSS2012.  But, when he asked to be my friend on LinkedIn in 2011ish I explained I only connected with people I know.  Then he said “You may recognize me by my blog EMR and HIPAA” and that did it.  I knew exactly who he was!)
