Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in America. More women die from heart disease than cancer. We have to stop this!

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in America. More women die from heart disease than cancer. We have to stop this!

Help stop this alarming statistic and learn the facts about atrial fibrillation (AF or A-fib) and how to prevent heart disease in women.

  • Heart disease is not limited to women over 50. Even young women can develop heart disease. Women with high risk factors such as obesity, high cholesterol and diabetes have a greater risk for developing heart disease.
  • Heart disease does not always have symptoms. Two-thirds of women who die suddenly of heart disease had no previous symptoms.
  • You do not need to have a family history or genetic risk factors for heart disease to be at risk.
