People need to find effective ways to lose weight. There are a lot of great reasons to do so. However, many people are reluctant to try losing weight, because they think it requires a massive amount of dieting or exercise.

Serious dieting is a thing of the past. Gone are the days of drastic diets, extreme workouts and hard to follow regimes. We now appreciate the slow and steady approach to weight loss. This means that the weight will come off and stay off, rather than crash diets. Health is wealth and there are many hacks to help you lose weight without the terrible repercussions.

1. Get enough sleep

A key weight loss hack that many rave about is ensuring you are getting enough good sleep. A number of studies have found a connection between poor sleep and weight gain, as well as weight related issues like Type 2 diabetes. The less sleep you have, the more time you are awake and require more food to refuel you. A lack of sleep also lowers your metabolism. Now we are not suggesting snoozing all day, all night, but ensuring you get a good 7-9 hours per evening will allow you to refocus yourself and be in a better mood to curb your unhealthy eating or exercise patterns.

2. Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting has been used and endorsed by many personal trainers to celebrities all over the world. This method does not really require you to lower your food intake, rather restructure your day around food depending on your lifestyle. For some they only eat between 10am and 6pm, others favor 12pm to 8pm, it really is your choice, but the benefits of restricting constant eating will help you lose weight quickly.

3. Vibration Plates

Purchasing a vibration plate can greatly improve the outcome of your weight loss journey. There are many vibration plate exercises for belly fat and other stubborn fat pockets users are hoping to reduce. The vibration plate exercises are not arduous and can be done in short amounts of time every evening with the adoption of a healthy diet.

4. Cook your own meals

If you want to lose weight, then you have to eat healthy every day. But how do you do so?

This may seem obvious but when you cook your own food you will naturally consume less calories than that of a takeaway or in a restaurant. This is because you decide what goes into your meals and can chose for them to be more veggie focused with less richer foods than that of a restaurant.

5. Limit alcohol intake

Alcohol has some of the highest dead calories in anything, removing alcohol from your diet for an extended period of time can really help your weight loss journey. Not only does this help you to reduce your calorie intake, but it will also stop those naughty cravings when you’ve had a few too many.

6. Take up a low-impact exercise

This includes exercises such as yoga, walking, pilates and many other low impact, but rewarding exercise forms. If you can incorporate one, or a few, of these exercises into your daily routines this can negate the need for dieting at all. Keeping yourself fit and healthy naturally helps you lose weight and feel great.

7. Focus on good food portions

For some people focusing on their food portion sizes and learning about how to portion meals correctly could lead to serious weight loss. This can happen very quickly if done correctly but does not mean the adopter would need to starve themselves, rather re-educate themselves. Portion control is a great way to really push a healthy diet and weight loss.

8. Walk more

Whilst this may seem obvious, walking is a great way to lose weight, boost your positivity and its free. Incorporating just 30 minutes of walking into your day can drastically impact your weight and weight loss journey. There are many walking groups that you can join to motivate you and help you achieve your goals, these groups are great for meeting like minded people and enjoying your exercise with a team of people.

9. Drink more water

The more water you drink the less hungry you are, it has always been a fact and it really is true. If you are getting your 4 litres of water in, or more with exercise, a day, the chances are you are already seeing the positive impact of this. Not only does it flush and replenish your body, it fills you up and stops overeating.

10. Keep a food journal

For some journaling what you eat in a day can allow you to map and track what you are doing good at and the things that need changing. You may spot trends where you can easily improve and drastically reduce your weight without obsessing about it. It is a therapeutic action that should be enjoyed by the adopter.

Conclusion

These ten weight loss hacks are a great starting point to refocus yourself from extreme dieting fads or serious diets to more enjoyable and adoptable ones. These are good and mentally healthy ways to improve your dieting approach rather than trying to adhere to hard diets that are unobtainable for extended periods. It is about changing your lifestyle for good rather than serious dieting for a month or so.
