There is a lot of information on how to strengthen and improve your immune system. If you walk into a health food store or even the grocery store and you will see a lot of pills and bottles that claim they can help strengthen and improve your immune system. To get a healthy immune system you are going to have to do more than just take a bunch of herbs and supplements. There are a lot of different components that go into your immune system and it is important to keep all of these aspects healthy. Here are 6 different things that can help you improve your immune system:

Watch What You Eat

Yes what you eat is going to play a major role with your immune system and how well it functions. If you are eating a bunch of junk food all of the time you may find that you get sick frequently or that you don’t feel the best when you wake up. This is because your body uses what you are feeding it. If you are giving your body bad fuel it can’t work or function how it is supposed to. There are a variety of different immune boosting foods that can help you create a diet that supports and protects your immune system.

and a bad immune system is one of them. Think of college finals week and how everyone seem to get sick a week or two before testing. This is from stress and not handling it properly. Learning to manage your time well and not being too busy will help keep your immune system strong.

Start to Exercise

Exercising can boost your immune system and get some good hormones pumping throughout your body. While essential oils haven’t been proven to do anything significant to your immune system they do help relax your body while exercising. Check out some Young Living Reviews and see how people use them while exercising. This can help make your exercise routine more enjoyable if you are new or don’t enjoy exercising.

Get Enough Sleep

If you do not sleep or don’t get enough sleep you will find that your immune system will take a major hit. Sleep allows your body to rejuvenate and allows your immune system to reboot itself and fight off any germs or things it may be battling. Getting enough sleep will also help you be able to focus better throughout the day and leads to more productivity.

Mental and Spiritual Health

If you are suffering from anxiety or depression you will feel your immune system start to become picky and you may notice that you are sick more often than you were before. This is because your body is impacted by a lot of different factors and mental health is one of them. Your immune system being not too great could be a symptom of your mental illness. Once you take care of your mental illness and get the help and medication that you need your immune system will end up fixing itself.

Be Patient with Yourself

If you have a disease of some sort such as primary immunodeficiency, it is important to remember that you may not have a “normal” immune system. This means that you have to be patient with your body and understand that you may have to live a little differently than other people around you. You can be patient with your body by listening to it and recognizing (and meeting) its needs. If you start to feel tired and need some sleep, go take a short nap if you have the opportunity. You may have to cut work hours or take a break from school so your body can properly heal. Being human and having an immune system is a really tricky thing that is complex and intricate. There are a lot of factors that can impact your immune system so it is important to seek professional medical help if you need medical help. What are some things that you do to keep your immune system at its best? Comment below to start the conversation!

Obese? 5 Reasons You Should Lose Weight (Some Are Surprising!)

The ACA has put patients at the center of healthcare services. A patient-centric healthcare approach in this digital era means a revised definition of quality in the physician-patient relationship. When it comes to healthcare services, patients shell out a hefty amount from their pocket and want nothing less than the best. The services in healthcare are no longer limited to just cost as consumers now evaluate quality and experience in the same equation. Research highlights from the 2015 Healthcare Consumer Trends by National Research Corporation states that reputation in healthcare matters more to consumers when choosing a brand than any other industry, e.g. hospitality, retail, airline, etc. The new generation of quality measurements in healthcare require a different mind-set and a different 'toolbox' to handle the hurdles. It’s the need of the hour for healthcare providers and others across the healthcare value chain to adopt the patient-centric approach for surviving in the vast competitive ocean of healthcare services. Patient-centric care is an approach that develops through effective communication, empathy and a positive physician-patient relationship. The primary purpose is to improve patient care outcomes and satisfaction and to reduce patient symptoms and unnecessary costs. It’s a win-win situation for both physicians and patients. While healthcare providers are able to support their patients in becoming more compliant with treatment and management of their conditions/diseases, patients feel more satisfied with the care that they are receiving. PwC’s Health Research Institute’s annual report 2016 states that health systems should keep an eye on the consumer experience as they expand and extend. More partnerships and more caregivers could mean confusion for patients and poor customer experiences. To differentiate their practice among competitors, patient satisfaction can be used as a competitive distinguishing factor. Although patient satisfaction cannot really provide tangible benefits, but an experience that exceeds patient expectations for what a practice/hospital can provide is very important as it creates loyal patients who return for future health needs and refer their family and friends. Happy and satisfied patients are a secret marketing weapon for healthcare providers, whether they are physicians, dentists, physiotherapists or hospitals. Your patients are the new-age digital health decision-makers. In this era of Internet and social media, they now have multichannel access to information related to health. Needless to mention, they have gained new power to make their decisions; whether it’s choosing a healthcare provider or referring a physician to family and friends. By converting your satisfied patients to be your brand advocates, you can capitalize and use their voice as an effective marketing strategy to reach out to many other potential patients. To strive and thrive, in the U.S. many healthcare organizations are applying patient-centric approaches to healthcare. It’s all about what matters to patients, so it makes a lot of sense for the healthcare industry to place patients' healthcare experience at the center of their policies and procedures. The best deliverables are a combination of great communication for a positive physician-patient relationship, disciplined measurement and analysis of patient feedback and commitment to technology innovation – the formula for improving patient engagement and care.
