If you’ve ever dieted, you know how frustrating it can be to discover you haven’t lost any weight after a week of counting calories. Sure, you can always blame a poorly calibrated scale. But the lack of weight loss could be a matter of metabolism – we need to increase our metabolism rate so we can burn more of those calories.

If you’ve ever dieted, you know how frustrating it can be to discover you haven’t lost any weight after a week of counting calories. Sure, you can always blame a poorly calibrated scale. But the lack of weight loss could be a matter of metabolism – we need to increase our metabolism rate so we can burn more of those calories.

breezingNow, there’s a device that can track your individual metabolism rate and report it right on your smartphone so you can truly see if you are really losing weight. Breezing claims to have the world’s first portable metabolism breathalyzer tracker. It also tracks your body’s energy source, your total body energy expenditure and your metabolic history over time so you can see changes in your weight history. The small breathalyzer connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth technology and provides you a report with all your stats right when you need them.

Currently, the app is available for pre-order only for Android platforms, but iPhone is also in their plans. This is just another way technology is changing health and wellness.
