Accenture conducted a consumer survey on patient engagement and created an infographic that highlights the interesting results. The survey assessed public attitudes toward their medical providers’ electronic capabilities, as well as the capabilities of their current providers. In some cases a comparison is made between consumer and physician attitudes.

Accenture conducted a consumer survey on patient engagement and created an infographic that highlights the interesting results. The survey assessed public attitudes toward their medical providers’ electronic capabilities, as well as the capabilities of their current providers. In some cases a comparison is made between consumer and physician attitudes.

The data points are a great start, but some out of the box thinking is also in order. There are plenty of other business requirements with electronic opportunities outside of the EHR’s functions that are complimentary.  One great example is MD Anderson’s PreCare.
