As the new year has gotten underway, it may be fair to say that many of you are now into a month of yoga. And we’re also sure you’re finding it fantastic. There are many health benefits of yoga that are worth exploring.

Naturally, for many of us it is also a stress buster, and if you want to take your yoga to the next level, there are plenty of ways to do so. One easy option is seeking out inspiration, and the best way to do that is through following experts on social media. This is one of the many reasons it can be a good idea to practice yoga regularly.

Yoga with Adriene is one of the most popular YouTube yoga channels out there, with millions of subscribers all over the world. One of the main benefits of her channel is that her sessions are incredibly inclusive and built for people of all sizes and all levels. You can follow her on social media with the handle @adrienelouse, where she regularly posts her latest YouTube video.

What’s also brilliant is that the classes she delivers are diverse in their purpose too, with ones to energise you first thing in the morning, or wind down come the evening.

Cat Meffan (@catmeffan)

Based in London, Cat Meffan, you can find her Instagram at @Catmeffan, is a prominent face in the British yoga scene and her social channels are great for finding inspiration in new yoga poses and sessions.

What’s great about her channel is that she also discusses her lifestyle, which features nutritional tips, how she looks after her mental health, as well as just offering a fun look into someone’s life, which is so often what social media is all about.

Celest has a real passion for yoga and while you’ll find her across social channels with the handle above, it’s her YouTube channel that you really want to tune in to. She is so warm in her approach to classes and often has sessions that target specific areas of the body or poses, which is good for those looking to improve their yoga in particular areas

Michael James Wong (@michaeljameswong)

A qualified yoga and meditation teacher, Michael James Wong is a great figure to follow online as he’s the founder of wellness platform Just Breathe, which you should certainly look into subscribing to.

Michael’s channels are all about mindfulness, mental health and yoga and are always worth tapping into to get a little bit of inspiration to start your day.

Finally, Australian-born Shona Vertue is an interesting influencer to follow as she not only has a background in yoga but fitness training too, so you can combine yoga sessions with various strength and mobility exercises to improve your overall wellbeing. She’s plenty of fun and a real star. We really can’t get enough of what Shona has to offer each day.
