No two people are the same. The way you approach a medical condition will not be identical to that of the next person. Nevertheless, there are some forms of treatment that are known to provide more benefits than others. Unfortunately, some people never take the time to think outside the box. Instead, they do whatever their medical team says, placing their trust in conventional practices. Many others, though, are recognizing that unconventional palliatives such as medical cannabis can be just as effective as traditional medicine. Medical cannabis has come a long way over the years, but there is still room for growth. In fact, once more people come to realize that cannabis could help them with a particular health condition, it will help push things forward with regards to legalization and use. According to Trend Statistics, ?92% of medical cannabis patients say that the cannabis works and according to a study in the New England Journal of Medicine that was published in 2013, 8 out of 10 doctors approve of the use of medical cannabis.? In other words, almost every participant in the study noted that cannabis worked for them. Furthermore, 80 percent of doctors approve the use of medical cannabis. Those stats show why medical cannabis could very well go mainstream in the near future.

Is Medical Cannabis Legal?

Many people shy away from the use of medical cannabis for one reason: they don?t know if it?s legal to use in their state. For this reason, they never take the time to learn more. Instead, they take a traditional approach to healing and hope for the best. Here?s the good news: medical cannabis is legal in 29 states and Washington, D.C. There is still a lot of work to be done, as 21 states are not yet on board, but this should change in the years to come. Note that the laws surrounding medical cannabis differ from one state to the next, so make sure you know what you are and are not permitted to do in your state. For example, Arkansas allows you to have three ounces of medical cannabis per 14-day period. Massachusetts, on the other hand, has made it legal to have a 60-day supply (10 ounces) for personal medical use. If you live in one of the 29 states where medical cannabis is legal and think it could be the answer, discuss this with your doctor.

The Health Benefits

There are many health benefits of cannabis, which is why so many people are looking into this form of alternative medicine. Here are some of the many things cannabis can assist with:
